2.2 Information Transmitted to Third Parties (Pro Features Only)
The following data may be transmitted when you explicitly use Pro features:
- Voice Cloning Audio: When you choose to create a voice clone, audio samples you provide are sent to ElevenLabs for voice model creation. This is the only feature that transmits your voice data externally.
- Cloned Voice Synthesis: When using your cloned voice for translation, text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate speech in your cloned voice.
2.3 Account and Payment Information
If you create an account or subscribe to Standard or Pro:
- Account Data: Email address, name (optional), and account preferences
- Payment Information: Processed securely by our payment processor (Dodo Payments). We do not store your full credit card number.
- Usage Metrics: Aggregate usage statistics (e.g., voice clone minutes used) for billing purposes
2.4 Analytics and Diagnostics
We collect anonymous, aggregated data to improve the Service:
- App crashes and error reports (via Apple's crash reporting)
- Feature usage statistics (which modes are used, not content)
- Device type and macOS version
- App version and performance metrics
This data cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct your conversations.

4.2 Apple Services
Voiceleap uses built-in macOS services that are governed by Apple's privacy policies:

4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Dodo Payments and is subject to their Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Local Transcripts (Free): Stored on your device for 7 days, then automatically deleted
- Local Transcripts (Pro): Stored indefinitely until you delete them
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion request
- Voice Clone Models: Retained until you delete them or close your account
- Payment Records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years)
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- Local data is protected by macOS security features and your device encryption
- All network communications use TLS 1.3 encryption
- Account passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- We conduct regular security assessments
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
